Municipal Geographic Information System

The Municipal Geographic Information System (MGIS) is an application developed for decision-makers at municipalities. It gives graphical information about revenues and citizen transactions which are linked to parcels. Use of the system dramatically increases the accuracy of information utilized in municipal operations and planning through computerized 'mapping' of more than seventy layers of physical, financial, and personal data. Electronically linked to the municipal administrative, financial, and engineering databases, the system can provide a wealth of information for use in the planning, inspection, audit, assessment, and collection processes.
